SAGOT developer docs

SAGOT runs AI voice agents that make and answer phone calls. Everything in the product is an operation with a stable name, such as agents.create or calls.get, and every operation is available on the HTTP API, the MCP server and the CLI with the same input, permissions and errors as the website.

Concepts in one minute

Concept What it is
Workspace Your team's space: agents, contacts, phone lines, calls and settings. Most operations take a workspaceId.
Agent A voice agent's instructions, greeting, voice, questions and boundaries. You validate and publish versions; calls use a published version.
Phone line How calls reach the phone network: a Twilio number, a SIP line or the SAGOT phone gateway. New lines start in test mode.
Contact A person or business to call, with an international phone number.
Call One conversation, with its status, outcome, transcript and recording.
Calling policy Workspace rules every call must pass: calling windows, attempt limits, budget and disclosure.

Authentication

Sign in on the website, then create an API key under Settings → API keys (or with credentials.create). Give the key only the permissions it needs: read, configure, publish, call or admin. Send it as Authorization: Bearer <key>. Keys can be listed and revoked at any time.

Errors

Errors are JSON with a stable code and a readable message, for example VALIDATION_ERROR with the fields that failed, FORBIDDEN when the key lacks a permission, or NOT_FOUND. The same error appears on every surface.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an SDK?

Not yet. The HTTP API is plain JSON over HTTPS, and the OpenAPI contract at https://sagots.com/openapi.json can generate a client in most languages.

Can my AI assistant call real customers?

Phone lines start in test mode, where only the line's test numbers can be called. Calling other numbers depends on the line's mode and your workspace's calling policy.
