MCP quickstart: let your AI assistant make phone calls
The SAGOT MCP server turns every SAGOT operation into a tool your AI assistant can use. Once connected, you can ask the assistant to build a voice agent, test it and place a call, and it works within the permissions of the key you give it.
1. Create an API key
Sign in to SAGOT, open Settings → API keys and create a key. For a first test choose
read, configure, publish and call. Copy the key once; SAGOT does not show it again.
2. Add the server to your MCP client
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| URL | https://sagots.com/mcp |
| Transport | Streamable HTTP |
| Header | Authorization: Bearer <your API key> |
Tool names are operation names with dots replaced by underscores: agents.create becomes
agents_create, calls.get becomes calls_get.
3. Ask for something useful
Try a prompt like:
Using SAGOT, list my workspaces. In the first one, create an agent that calls restaurants to book a table for two on Friday at 7 pm, publish it, and tell me which phone line and test numbers I can use.
A typical sequence of tools is workspaces_list, agents_create, agents_test (validates the draft),
agents_publish, lines_list, contacts_import and calls_create, then calls_get to
read the outcome and transcript.
4. Review the call
Every call your assistant starts appears on the website under Calls, with the
transcript, recording and outcome. The assistant reads the same data with calls_get.
Frequently asked questions
Which MCP clients work?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with a custom authorization header.
Can the assistant do more than I allow?
No. The key's permissions and your workspace's calling policy apply to every tool call, exactly as they do on the website.
