How to use it

  2. Choose the country to assume for numbers written without a + code.
  3. Copy the valid numbers in E.164 and fix the ones marked invalid.

Why clean numbers matter for calling

A missing country code or a stray digit sends a call to the wrong country or to no one at all. Campaigns that start from a clean list waste fewer attempts, keep answer rates honest and avoid calling people by mistake. SAGOT expects phone contacts in international E.164 format for the same reason.

Frequently asked questions

What is E.164 format?

E.164 is the international standard for phone numbers: a plus sign, the country code and the national number with no spaces or punctuation, up to 15 digits, for example +639171234567. Dialers, SMS services and voice agents use it to call the right country.

Is my list of numbers uploaded anywhere?

No. The check runs entirely in your browser using Google’s open-source phone number rules (libphonenumber). Nothing you paste is sent to SAGOT or anyone else.

Why does a number show as possible but not valid?

It has the right length for its country but does not match an assigned number range, for example an unused mobile prefix. Check for a typo or a missing digit.

Can it tell whether a number is a mobile or a landline?

For most countries, yes, based on the number range. Numbers can be ported between carriers, so treat the line type as a strong hint rather than a guarantee.
